Saw palmetto fruit extract in healthy adults

A randomized controlled trial gave 320 mg of saw palmetto fruit extract daily to healthy Japanese participants and followed urinary symptoms — one of the few trials of this extract run outside a patient population.

The extract in this formula is the same part of the plant, Serenoa repens fruit, at 500 mg per serving.

A systematic review and meta-analysis pooled nine randomized controlled trials covering 558 participants. Ashwagandha formulations produced a significant reduction on the Perceived Stress Scale and on the Hamilton Anxiety scale against comparators.
